May 18, 2007 HDR Thriller (shelter)

Oh man...this is like the 4th or 5th HDR Thriller that has come from Iceland. Terrific subject matter must abound there, but this one is also composed very well. A little shelter from the elements is a lifesaver now and then. GOTTA see it IN LARGE to fully appreciate it! HDR processing really enhances rock face texture...such detail would be totaly lost in a normal photo.

Just for kicks, I will reprise another icelandic beauty from iceland from March 21, 2007.

At first I was skeptical that was a real bug on top of the building, but a look at this in large convinced me that this truly is a giant carpenter ant.
